Subject: Mythbackend refusing network connections.
Hi,
I am running into an issue where periodically my master backend remains
running, but stops accepting network connections. When this happens slave
backends, and all frontends stop working. Using nmap from a slave host
shows the mythtv port as "filtered", this is not happening because of the
firewall on the master host, while the mysql (and other) ports remain
"open" and accepting connections.

Running the master backend with the debug option gives no insight into what
the cause could be, also running the slave backends with the debug option
shows no further insight. The logs on the master shows disconnects from the
slave backends and the frontends, it also keeps showing attempts to expire
things on the slave backends.

I am at a loss to correct this issue, and while I can fix it from the
command line other users of my systems cannot - causing problems for me.

If anyone has a solution for me I would be most grateful.
